From Insulin Resistance to High Blood Pressure

The core reason insulin resistance (IR) causes high blood pressure (hypertension) is that IR creates a state of hormonal and vascular malfunction that raises pressure through multiple interconnected mechanisms.
The main pivotal reasons are:

Kidney Sodium Retention: The excess insulin produced (hyper-insulinemia) tells the kidneys to hold onto salt and water, increasing blood volume and raising pressure.

Vascular Stiffness: IR prevents blood vessels from properly relaxing (impaired nitric oxide production), making them stiff and constricted.

Overactive Stress System: The “fight or flight” nervous system is chronically stimulated, which constricts vessels and worsens kidney function.

The Vicious Gut Cycle: IR damages the gut lining (“leaky gut”) and causes an overgrowth of bad bacteria (dysbiosis). This gut damage floods the bloodstream with bacterial toxins, creating systemic inflammation that simultaneously worsens IR, stiffens blood vessels, and directly drives blood pressure elevation.

In essence, IR is the metabolic root cause that pushes multiple bodily systems (kidneys, nerves, vessels, and gut) into a state that locks blood pressure high.

The solution is:
Receive the testing kits by post from vitall and you will then arrange for someone to arrange a time to come and complete the blood samples at your home. The the result of the insulin resistance number come a few days later.  The URL for this page is here. As far as I know all the other testing services require you do travel to a location that can take the blood, two samples are required and currently this services is not available from your GP.

From the results you can decide if you clearly have insulin resistance to first consult with your doctor and then embark on our 90 day Integrative Remission Program with coaching and a diet to reverse insulin resistance, learn more from a free coaching session contact me to arrange a time or call me on 07540 185534.
